Bin collections in Surrey
Surrey County Council does not collect your bins. Eleven borough and district councils do, each with its own rounds and its own lookup. Start with the borough you live in.
Which council collects your bins?
Surrey has eleven, and the boundaries rarely match the town name. Enter a postcode and we will point you at the right one.
Your postcode is looked up in your browser against postcodes.io, an open ONS-derived service. Nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored.
Every Surrey council
Why this is more confusing than it should be
Surrey is a two-tier county. The eleven borough and district councils collect household waste; Surrey County Council runs the recycling centres. Four boroughs - Elmbridge, Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking - share a waste service called Joint Waste Solutions, so residents there often deal with a portal that carries neither their council's name nor the county's.
We do not publish collection dates here. They are set by address, they move around bank holidays, and each council changes its rounds on its own schedule - a date that is wrong is worse than no date at all. Every page links straight to the council's own lookup instead.
