Crime in Great Bookham

58 offences were recorded within about a mile of the centre of Great Bookham during June 2026, the most recent month published by the police.

How to read this

These are counts, not rates. They are not adjusted for population, and they take no account of how many people travel into a place to work, shop or drink. A town centre will always record more offences than the village next to it, and that tells you very little about how safe either is to live in. For the same reason there is no league table on this site ranking Surrey towns by crime.

Locations are approximate by design. The police map each offence to a nearby anonymous point rather than to an address, so nobody's home can be identified. That also means the figure here covers a radius around the town centre rather than a precise boundary.

Figures are published about two months in arrears, and can be revised as investigations conclude - an incident recorded as one offence may later become another.

Reporting a crime

Call 999 in an emergency, or when a crime is in progress. For anything else, Surrey Police take reports on 101 and online. Crimes reported to other agencies, and those handled by the British Transport Police on the railway, do not appear in these figures.
